Hidden Luminosity

Such qualities are hidden deep within
until secret fate takes over and begins
to define luminosity buried in a soul
that draws an aching heart to it's warm and loving glow

The Mysteries of darkness overwhelm the light
yet hundreds of miles apart you pierce through the night
in a gentle torrent of aches a light envelopes me
as darkness starts to falter and I begin to see

A light burned within, hidden from the owners sight
with a reach unknown, begins a sacred flight
a candle of connection burning strong and slow
kindles a fire that sweetly and steadily begins to grow

Rekindling a faith long hidden in the dark
renewal of a passion, a connection made the spark
reassurance of fates that guide you along the way
upon the rode I faltered as courage slipped away

Steady on I go, renewed by companionship
as fear and anonymity are slowly from me stripped
walk on alone, no longer afraid
renewed on a path all but lost or strayed

Guided by a soul of hidden luminosity
whose very existence in my world is a mystery to me
the light within burns deep, and steadily draws me near
give me reason to hope and reason not to fear
