Summer Storms
by beccaKiwi

The lightning cracked way too loud
The rain poured down to my feet
Before this the gods would have bowed
Feel the strength of the heat

Summer storms bring such relief
A rest from burning sun
But the break is forever too brief
Too soon the storm is done

Until then I'll dance in the rain
Splash water over my hair
Jump puddles with kids in the lane
Come join me if you dare!
