Don't Wake Me Up

Far away in the land of nod
Along came the devil with a big round log
Slapped the dreamer across the head
Shook him madly, then turned and said
"This is my bed sleep away
The devil lives here so don't you stay"
The dreamer laughed and said to him
"I don't believe I have your sin"
The devil cried and stomped about
The world could hear him scream and shout
He crashed through clouds and landed well
Down from heaven to the pits of hell
The dreamer smiled at the silly sod
For the devil had woken a cranky god
