The Light and the Darkness
by DravenCage

The night was cold, the night was still
The darkness came and with it a chill
The world wasn't ready for what was to be
The world wasn't ready for what it would see

From the north the light was fading fast
The darkness consumed everything it went past
The people were scared and felt coldness of breathe
There in the night stood the spectre of death

Death had arrived, as the legend had told
There was no escape, your soul had been sold
The Reaper flowed through the cities dark streets
Taking the souls of every person he meets

"I am Death, I am your end" he was heard to say
Until he came across a two little girls at play
The innocence they possessed was all it took
To make even Death take a second look

The darkness was fading, light began to break
Death was stunned that his quest he had to forsake
He left the town and and was filled with sadness
That he had met the light in the darkness
