Svein
[Sweyn]
1014
Danish Line

Svein was the son of a Danish king named Harald Gormsson, who he deposed in 985. Svein later began attacking England and was paid Danegeld by Ethelred II in 1013. He returned to England with his son Knut Sveinsson to take the throne and succeeded in 1014 when he forced Ethelred to flee to Normandy.
